We are dedicated to offer free boating
that provides nature experiences and learning opportunities for seniors, first
and foremost, as well as veterans and
those with special needs.
The St. Louis River Experience (SLRE), is a non-profit 501(c)(3) which makes our program possible and free of charge
through the support of businesses,
organizations and a dedicated
experienced staff of 100% volunteers.
Our Mission
About the Program

We’ve taken out over 9,500 passengers between 2015 & 2025 & logged over 15,000 volunteer hours.

All trips are in and out of Pier B & can be scheduled for 1 or 1.5 hours long, traveling the Duluth/Superior Harbor & the St. Louis River.

We operate a custom built pontoon that can accommodate up to 3 wheelchairs.

Mandatory volunteer training is conductedannually.
